Vitamin K2, also known as menaquinone, is generated by bacteria, e.g., in the human digestive tract.  - however, in small amounts only. You also get Vitamin K2 through your diet – or you may choose to take a dietary supplement. Vitamin K2 is fat-soluble.

Among other things, Vitamin K2 contributes to

  • normal blood coagulation
  • the maintenance of normal bones.

Vitamin K is essential to the coagulation of blood and to the formation of bones. In addition, vitamin K deficiency is linked to a lack of protection against, e.g., atherosclerosis.

Danish biochemist Henrik Dam discovered the vitamin in 1935 - an achievement for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1943.

 
Ingredients

Filler (dicalcium phosphate), stabiliser (microcrystalline cellulose), Vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7), glazing agent (magnesium salts of vegetable fatty acids), anti-caking agent (silicon dioxide).

Content per daily dose

1-2 tablets: 45-90 μg vitamin K = 60-120 % of RI*. *RI = Reference intake

Do not exceed stated dose. Pregnant or lactating women and children under the age of 11 should consult a doctor or a health practitioner before taking dietary supplements. Dietary supplements should not replace a well-balanced diet. Keep out of reach of children.
