Folic acid is also known as Vitamin B9. The Vitamin B Complex is a group of water-soluble vitamins which means that excess amounts will be excreted through the urine.

The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration recommends that women aiming for pregnancy and during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy should take 400 mcg of folic acid per day.

Ingredients

Filler (dicalcium phosphate), stabiliser (microcrystalline cellulose), folic acid (pteroylmonoglutamic acid),, magnesium salts of vegetable fatty acids (glazing agent), anti-caking agent (silicon dioxide)

1 tablet: 400 μg folic acid = 200 % of RI*

*RI = Reference Intake

Danish Health Authority recommends that women who is planning a pregnancy take a daily supplement of 400 μg folic acid from the planning stage until the end of the 12th week. It should only be used by children under 11 years of age after consultation with a doctor or health visitor. Dietary supplements should not replace a varied diet. Keep out of reach of children.
