Krill oil natually has a content of omega-3 fatty acids and contains EPA and DHA, which contributes a normal heart function (a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA = 3 capsules is required).
The oil is extracted from crustaceans, the first organisms in the food chain. Krill is biologically harvested in clean areas of Antarctica and immediately processed into oil. This reduces the risk of the oil turning rancid.
Antarctic krill are tiny (max. 6 cm) shrimp-like crustaceans that live in enormous "swarms" in the sea. Krill is considered the bottom of the food chain and is an important food factor for other sea animals.
Antarctic krill is harvested according to the Eco-Harvesting method developed by Aker Bio Marine.
Fatty extract of Antarctic lyskrebs (Euphausia superba), bovine gelatine (capsule), moisturizing agent (glycerol, sorbitol), water.
