Pu-erh is produced in the Yunnan Province in the southwestern part of China, close to the Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar borders.
It is a very special tea with its unique taste that develops from a long fermentation process. When harvested, pu-erh tea is fermented 3-5 times longer than black tea and stored in stone houses with a constantly low temperature. In contrast to all other teas, pu-erh only gets better with age. Thus you may find 1-, 5-, 10-, 20- and 50-year old pu-erh tea.
