Great yellow gentian may be used for tea and bitters.

Recommended use:. 1 level tsp per cup of boiling water. Let brew for 3-5 minutes and strain before serving. Drink 1 cup with each meal.
Great yellow gentian is common to temperate and arctic climates and mountain regions of Europe, Asia and North America.
Gentian carry funnel- or bell-shaped flowers. Dried rhizomes have an intensely bitter taste.
Gentian root is used for bitters where the dried rhizomes are immersed in, e.g., snaps or vodka for a couple of weeks. Dried ensian root may also be used for herbal tea.
