Recommended use:. 1 level tsp per cup of boiling water. Let brew for 5-10 minutes and strain before serving. Drink 1 cup with each meal. May also be used for bitters.
Damiana is a Mexican shrub native to Southern USA and many parts of South America. The shrub has small yellowish brown leaves. Traditional use of damiana leaves dates back centuries; they have been an important ingredient in traditional Mexican liqueur and margaritas. In Western countries, damiana leaves have been used for making herbal tea.
