  • Use yeast flakes to add spice and flavour to your cooking.

  • Vegan
  • Vegetarian
  • Gluten-free
  • Lactose free

These small flakes of inactive yeast may be used as a spice and flavouring agent in sauces, bread, porridge, pies, tofu marinades etc. The cheese-like flavour of the flakes makes them excellent for dishes that require cheese, e.g., a delicious cheese sauce for pizzas, pastas, lasagna and pies. Yeast flakes are often called "vegan cheese flavour".

Yeast flakes consist of dried, inactivated baker's yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) from sugar beet molasses. Flakes have a high protein content.

Yeast flakes are inactive which means that you cannot use the product as a leavening agent.

Please note that product volume may vary from one batch to the next. Thus, the weight of 1 tbs may vary from 1 tsb to 2-5 g. When shaken (e.g. during transportation), yeast flakes will be further compressed. Upon production, yeast flakes almost fill up the bottles - thus, the bottle size cannot be reduced.
