Organic oregano is a close relation to marjoram, with a slight bitter taste resembling that of thyme as oregano and thyme leaves contain the same essential oils.
Oregano has a stronger taste compared to majoram but is essentially used for the types of food, e.g. the tomato sauce for Italian classics pizza and pasta. Greek and Turkish dishes, vegetable soups, stews and casseroles also benefit from oregano.
You may add oregano to your dishes at any time during your preparations - it stands up well to high temperatures.
