D35 vitamin D3 35 μg 180 stk

Product no.: 204

Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of your immune system and to the maintenance of your bones. It is difficult to meet your body’s Vitamin D needs through your diet – good food sources are fat fish, eggs and mushrooms. Another good source is the UV rays from the sun which makes your skin synthesize Vitamin D.

  • Contributes to the normal function of your immune system
  • Helps to maintain your bones and teeth
  • Contributes to the normal function of your muscles

Recommended use:. Adults and children aged 11+: 1 tablet per day with a meal

It may be difficult to get enough Vitamin D through your diet. The most important Vitamin D source is the sun’s UV rays. However, as the number of sunshine hours in Denmark is very low in the autumn and winter months, a dietary supplement may be relevant.

Vitamin D is important for your body’s absorption and metabolism of calcium, for strong bones and muscles and for your immune system. In addition, Vitamin D contributes to a normal calcium content in your blood and has an impact on cell division. Vitamin D is fat-soluble, and dietary supplements must be ingested with meals containing fat for the body to absorb the vitamin.

Danish Health Authority recommends a daily Vitamin D supplement for everyone during the months of October through April. In addition, the following specific recommendations apply:

  • 5-10 μg of Vitamin D per day during the above months for adults and children aged 4+.
  • 10 μg of Vitamin D per day throughout the year for infants (from 2 weeks old) and small children (until the age of 4)
  • 10 μg per day throughout the year for the following groups:
    • pregnant women
    • children and adults with dark skin
    • children and adults not getting enough sunlight on the skin during the winter months and not exposing arms and legs to the sun in summer.
  • 20 μg of Vitamin D plus 800-1,000 mg of calcium per day throughout the year for the following groups:
    • adults aged 70+
    • persons in assisted living conditions (regardless of age)
    • persons with an increased risk of osteoporosis (regardless of age)
