Ægte Venustorn® (Devil's claw) is an herbal drug to relieve minor joint and muscle pain, loss of appetite and digestive problems. The active pharmaceutical ingredient is derived from dried root slices.
Ægte Venustorn®, devil’s claw root, capsules and herbal tea: Herbal drug for minor joint and muscle pains, loss of appetite and digestive problems. Contains powdered or cut devil’s claw root. Dosage, herbal tea, adults: Minor pain in joints and muscles: 1 cup of herbal tea morning, noon and night. Loss of appetite and digestive problems: 1-2 cups of herbal tea per day. Pour boiling water on tea leaves and steep for app. 8 hours. Strain before use. Dosage, capsules, adults: 2 capsules 3 times per day – you may want to start with a reduced dosage. Consult your doctor before administering devil's claw to children under the age of 12. Use for a maximum of four weeks against minor pains. Use for a maximum of two weeks against loss of appetite and digestive problems. Do not use if you are allergic to devil’s claw root or if you suffer from gastric or duodenal ulcers. Consult your doctor before use if your joint pains are accompanied by swelling, strong movement pain, flushing or fever. Caution in case of gall stones and heart disease. It is unknown whether reduced liver and kidney function and other distinct conditions require caution. Pregnant and lactating women: Consult your doctor before use.
